Reel Artistry is the first pole & aerials competition of it's kind - a virtual competition focused on overall production, final impact, and wow factor.
Unlike other virtual competitions, we want to see your EDITED masterpiece. Film as many times as you like, cut snippets together, move the camera, add effects - whatever it takes to bring your creative project to life!
Rules & Guidelines
The Process
Video entries will be open from [DATES].
All videos that meet the entry requirements & judging criteria will be posted to our Instagram page @reelartistrypolecomp.
Voting will be open to the public from [DATES] . Voting will be done via "likes", with the top 10 most-liked videos in each category progressing to the finals.
On [DATE] all finalist videos will be shown via livestream, with our expert judges joining. The judges will then decided the top 3 for each category. Each placing video will receive $100AUD and an instagram shoutout.
They will also decide our specialty awards - Best Performance, Best Editor, Best Videographer - which will each recieve an Instagram shoutout.
Public voting for the Stop the Scroll Awards will commence from [DATE/TIME] until [DATE/TIME]. The Stop the Scroll Awards will be given the the most-like pole video and most-liked aerial video out of the category winners (1st, 2nd, & 3rd). Each Stop the Scroll winner will receive $250AUD and an Instagram shoutout.
All Instagram posts will be collaborated.
General Rules & Guidelines
- Worldwide entries are accepted
- Videos must be 1-2min in length
- Must be filmed/edited to reel size & shape - 9:16
- All categories must use an apparatus
- Full AI productions will not be accepted

Judging Criteria

- Dance - skill & technique
- An apparatus must be used - pole, lyra, silks, etc.
- Basework tricks
- Choroegraphy/composition
- Musicality of dance/editing - Do the movements match the music whether overlayed/edited or not?
- Production - filming quality, lighting, editing
- Aesthetic - costuming, scene, etc.
- Engagement/wow factor
Pole Tricks & Aerials
- Tricks - LOD - no trick restrictions
- Tricks - technique
- Trick combination originality & composition
- Musicality of movement/editing
- Production - filming quality, lighting, editing
- Aesthetic - costuming, scene, etc.
- Engagement /wow factor
Finalists & Awards
The top 10 most liked videos from each category will progress to the finals.
Our expert judges will decide on the winners for the following awards:
